Coverdell Data Submission System (CDSS)
The Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Program Data Submission System is designed for recipients to enter, submit, and validate data.
About Coverdell:
- The Paul Coverdell Acute Stroke Program was established after Congress provided funding in 2001 in memory of Senator Paul Coverdell who suffered a fatal stroke in 2000 while serving in Congress.
- Since 2005, the Coverdell Program has reached more than 1 million stroke patients across almost 800 hospitals.
- The Coverdell Program is administered through CDC's Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP).
- The Coverdell Program funds state health departments and health systems to collect, submit, analyze, and monitor stroke-associated data to improve the quality of care for stroke patients.
